The series of serious accidents over the weekend continued on Sunday evening.
A motorcyclist was seriously injured in Erding around 7 p.m.
This is how the accident happened:
Erding – According to initial findings, the driver of a Moto Guzzi was traveling on state road 2084 from Dorfen in the direction of Erding.
Shortly after 7 p.m., the biker from the Eggenfelden area wanted to cross the Taufkirchen junction towards the city center.
His traffic light showed green.
A young woman from the district of Erding came towards him at the wheel of a VX Up.
She, too, drove to the intersection when it turned green to turn left onto the B 388 in the direction of Taufkirchen.
She overlooked the motorcycle and caught it head-on.
The Lower Bavarian fell and was badly injured on the asphalt.
The Erding fire brigade closed the crossing and regulated traffic.
After first aid by the rescue service, the DRF rescue helicopter Christoph Munich landed at the intersection and picked up the seriously injured.
He came to a Munich clinic.
There have been four accidents with injuries in the Erding area since Saturday.
As reported, one ended fatally: near Titkofen, an 88-year-old crashed into a tree.
