2022 Parade Tributes and Tributes
As the event celebrates different aspects of Puerto Rico's society and heritage, the 65th edition, organizers say, is dedicated to the municipality of Cidra, known as the Town of Eternal Spring on the island.
This dedication is shared with the Puerto Rican community in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
But there will also be a tribute to El Yunque, the national tropical rain forest in northeastern Puerto Rico, and to the Puerto Rican parrot, an endemic species that is in danger of extinction.
The parade will feature two posthumous tributes: the centenary of singer-songwriter Bobby Capó and the 50th anniversary of the death of Roberto Clemente, Major League legend and two-time World Series of Baseball champion.
