Armenian Prime Minister Nikola Pashinyan expressed his country's keenness to strengthen joint efforts with the Russian Federation to enhance regional security and stability.
And the Russia Today website quoted Pashinyan as saying in a congratulatory message he addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Russian people on the occasion of Russia’s National Day: “The continuation of joint efforts will lead to the further development of the entire strategic cooperation between Armenia and Russia for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries in order to enhance security and stability.” He pointed out that Russia's National Day symbolizes Russian reforms in political, economic and social life, and indicates the stability of national unity and the high responsibility in the country.
For his part, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said: The centuries-old friendship and good-neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are a firm basis for the successive development of the strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.
In a similar congratulatory message to Russia on this occasion, Aliyev stressed the continuous strengthening and expansion of relations between the Azerbaijani Republic and the Russian Federation for the benefit of both countries and our peoples.
It is worth noting that in 2020, under the auspices of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan reached a ceasefire agreement that ended the conflict between Baku and Yerevan in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
