The Nicaraguan National Police raided and closed the facilities of "Trinchera de la Noticia" in Managua, in compliance with a resolution of a judicial instance, as reported to CNN this Saturday by journalist María Alicia Talavera, director of the independent medium.
Talavera explained that she and her son, Francisco Xavier Reyes, appeared on Friday afternoon before the Ministry of the Interior, where an official from the Judiciary handed them a resolution from the Managua Real Estate and Commercial Property Registry notifying them of an infraction for "disturb the peace"
According to Talavera, the resolution of that instance ordered the dissolution of the company "Trinchera de la Noticia", ordered its closure, closure and occupation of its assets by the National Police.
The resolution also imposed a fine of more than 53,700 cordobas, the equivalent of about US$35,700.
CNN has not been able to independently access the resolution document.
Neither the National Police nor the Judiciary have published official information on the subject.

While Talavera and his son were notified, their media outlet denounced the raid on their facilities on Friday afternoon through their social networks.
"Right now the Police are taking over our facilities in the vicinity of the Tenderí traffic lights. The Judiciary has notified the closure of this media outlet," Trinchera de la Noticia published on its Facebook page.
The print edition of "Trinchera de la Noticia" reached some 2,500 subscribers in the city of Managua from Monday to Friday, according to Talavera.
With the closure of the medium, 14 people are left unemployed and another number of people who collaborate on an eventual basis.
