The focus of the checks by the Munich traffic police on Monday, June 6, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. was on checking that vehicles were properly equipped and that the speed limit was observed.

Monitoring of the speed limit during this period revealed 23 violations.

In the area of ​​state road 2070, between Faistenhaar and Aying, the police flashed and stopped the driver of a jeep - the man raced through the district at 210 km/h, although a maximum speed of 100 is allowed at this point.

The driver can now expect a three-month driving ban, two points in the central traffic register and a fine of 700 euros.

Without a license and drunk at the wheel

In addition to the 23 speed violations, the police registered 21 other traffic violations during their traffic checks in Aying: including license plate misuse, violations when overtaking and violations due to non-compliant vehicles.

Among other things, on state road 2078 (Dürrnhaarer Straße), where a 44-year-old from Munich drove a Mercedes, even though he didn't have a driver's license.

In addition, there were indications of the previous use of narcotics.

Further investigations are being conducted by the Munich traffic police.

In principle, the police point out in a press release that excessive speed "is one of the main causes of accidents, repeatedly leading to serious traffic accidents".

Therefore, one will continue to "carry out targeted speed controls and punish violations found consistently".
