Violent accident on the A9: car from Munich overturns several times – two seriously injured

Two women were seriously injured in a traffic accident on the A9 on Saturday evening.

Her car overturned and ended up in the right lane, completely destroyed.

Schweiterkirchen – A car belonging to a woman from Munich rolled over several times on Saturday evening on the A9 between Munich and Ingolstadt.

Before that, she collided with another car.

She and her passenger were seriously injured in the crash.

The motorway had to be completely closed for a short time.

Accident on the A9: Two cars collide when pulling out

The violent accident happened around 6:30 p.m., writes the Ingolstadt traffic police in their press report.

The trigger was the swerving of a 29-year-old man from Nykobing in Denmark.

He drove his car in the right lane and switched to the middle one.

He overlooked the car of the 29-year-old from Munich.

The two vehicles collided sideways.

The woman from Munich was pushed into the left lane with her Mini.

There she crashed head-on into the concrete crash barrier.

Due to the high speed and the force of the impact, the Munich woman's car took off.

He rolled over several times before coming to a stop on his wheels in the right lane.

A short time later, the first rescue workers were on site.

They freed the 29-year-old from Munich and her 31-year-old passenger from the destroyed Mini.

Both women were seriously injured in the accident, the press release said.

They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

The driver from Denmark was not injured in the collision.

Accident on the A9: Autobahn closure leads to long traffic jams

The police said the damage to the cars and the crash barrier was around 12,000 euros.

The A9 had to be completely closed for about half an hour.

The Geisenhausen volunteer fire brigade and the THW helped with the clean-up work.

The complete cleanup took about two hours.

A lane was opened to divert traffic.

In addition to the police, three ambulances and an ambulance were also on duty.

As a result of the accident, it was backed up over a longer distance.
