The 49-year-old Wang Wen is the secretary-general of the Shanwei Association of Hong Kong, Guangdong, China.

Nearly 20 years later, the fifth wave of the novel coronavirus hit earlier this year. Wang Wen said it was the most unforgettable experience in his volunteer career.
At that time, a large number of people were infected with the virus and lacked supplies. He not only collected supplies and participated in the packaging of supplies, but also led volunteers to visit various districts in Hong Kong to deliver supplies. At that time, at the peak, 500 supplies were delivered a day. The epidemic stopped after a while. So after that, I completely relied on volunteer helpers. Sometimes I went to faraway places, and I honestly called Che Zhong to help my friends and family members." Wait".
Wang Wen also sent supplies to outlying islands such as Cheung Chau and Lamma Island.
He said that at the beginning of the epidemic, there were not many cases of infection in the outlying islands, so there were not too many supplies.
However, as soon as the epidemic broke out in the urban area, the outlying islands were affected.
Due to transportation and logistics problems, it was not easy to transfer animal supplies to the outlying islands, so volunteers such as Wang Wen decided to go to these "forgotten areas" to deliver supplies.
He said that some residents of the outlying islands sent messages and photos to express their gratitude to the volunteers, saying, "If you don't come to the meeting, I will remember them and send supplies from such a distant place to the outlying islands."
