The two occupants were seriously injured.

– Two people were seriously injured in an accident on the A99 near Grasbrunn on Friday.
Both came to the hospital, one even in the rescue helicopter.
There were hours of obstruction on the Autobahn in the direction of Nuremberg.
According to the Hohenbrunn traffic police, a 22-year-old was driving in his VW at around 7.10 p.m. at “high speed” in the left lane when a BMW in front of him swerved from the middle lane to the left.
The VW crashed sideways into the car of a 23-year-old Austrian, skidded and crashed sideways into an articulated lorry traveling in the right lane, which was being driven by a 53-year-old Portuguese national.
The VW then spun to the left again, collided with the central barrier and came to a stop in the left lane.
A rescue helicopter brought the 22-year-old VW driver from Munich to the hospital with serious injuries.
His passenger was seriously injured and was also taken to a hospital by the ambulance.
The BMW driver and the driver of the semitrailer were uninjured, according to the police.

The three vehicles involved, as well as the roadway and the central barrier, suffered material damage in the mid-five-digit range.
Fire brigade frees passenger from wreck
A large contingent of emergency services arrived.
The fire brigades from Hohenbrunn and Putzbrunn took care of the seriously injured VW driver and freed the passenger from the deformed wreckage with hydraulic equipment.
They also secured traffic and ensured fire protection.
In the further course, the fire brigade forces supported the rescue work and illuminated the scene of the accident.
According to the traffic police, the rescue and clean-up work at the scene of the accident lasted almost five hours.
The A99 was initially completely closed for around one and a half hours before the hard shoulder was released and the traffic could slowly flow away.
An expert examined the scene of the accident in order to clarify the precise course of the accident and the cause of the accident.
