An indictment has been filed against a man and a boy for handing over and publishing "top secret" news, the GSS, the IDF and the police announced today (Monday).

Another involved in the affair, a soldier in compulsory service, detained.

The investigation was opened a few weeks ago following posts on social media, in which several soldiers and civilians were questioned.

The indictment attributes to the adult defendant, who served in the Armed Forces in the reserve, numerous offenses of obtaining, collecting, registering, possessing and handing over confidential information. The investigation into the soldier's case is still ongoing. Authorities concluded that they acted together, but were not activated by "hostile elements.

" Many details in the affair are still banned from publication.

The older defendant's attorneys, attorneys Merom Halevi and Ariel Pitchukuka, argued that "both the investigators and the court that accompanied the arrest of the defendant we represent agreed that he did not act out of ideological, financial, publicity or any motive for any benefit." "It seems that innocence and stupidity were involved here, and we will of course examine their meaning and dimensions when we receive the evidence."

Defense attorneys representing the soldier on behalf of the military defense, attorneys Ran Cohen Rochberger and Capt. Amir Gonman, stated that "this is an outstanding, professional and valued soldier who contributed greatly to his service. Even if he was wrong in his judgment, "And significant allegations regarding the soldier and the circumstances of his actions. We are convinced that as a result, the correct context and stick of the case will be understood."

About a year ago, an intelligence officer charged with security offenses died suddenly.

On the night of May 17-16, he was in a military prison cell in critical condition, and sought medical treatment at the hospital - where he was pronounced dead.
