23-year-old crashes head-on into truck and dies instantly – truck driver suffers severe shock

A young man drove his car into oncoming traffic on the B16 near Ingolstadt.

The accident was fatal for the 23-year-old.

Ingolstadt – On Monday (June 13) a violent head-on collision occurred on the B16 near Ingo-Park.

A 23-year-old died in the accident, police said.

The young man from the Donau-Ries district was on the main road towards Ingolstadt at around 5.30 a.m.

At the level of the overpass to the commercial park, he came across the oncoming lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified.

There was a head-on collision with an oncoming truck. According to the police, the front of the car was “completely deformed” due to the violent impact.

The truck then left the roadway and collided with the guardrail.

Car crashes into truck: driver was not buckled

"The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered injuries in the collision that resulted in his immediate death," police said.

The truck driver (48) injured his leg and suffered severe shock.

He came to a hospital.

"The public prosecutor's office in Ingolstadt commissioned an accident analysis report.

The B16 was completely closed to record the accident.

This will probably last until noon because of the vehicle salvage and road cleaning,” the police said.

The fire brigades from Ingolstadt and Zuchering are on site to direct traffic.

According to initial estimates, the total damage was estimated at around 30,000 euros.
