Munich - The nine-euro ticket is intended to relieve all citizens in Germany.
With the cheap ticket decided by the government, consumers can use local public transport in June, July and August for only nine euros per month.
But for many Hartz IV recipients, even nine euros are still too much.

A tweet from one of those affected shows how important this financial support can be for some people.
She writes "I would be very happy about a ticket sponsor so that I can attend doctor's appointments that have been postponed due to lack of money and visit my father who lives far away." And that is just one of many fates of people affected by poverty.
This is precisely why many Twitter users are so appalled that politicians are not intervening here.
A user vents her frustration and writes: "Can we please think about participation in mobility in the future and organize it by the state?" Nevertheless, she thinks it's great that there is a "wave of solidarity for people affected by poverty".
