MDA paramedic Michael Yochanov and paramedic riding an MDA motorcycle, Mohi Aladdin Ali, said: "The wounded man was unconscious and suffered a penetrating injury to his body. We performed medical tests but his injury was critical and we have no choice but to determine his death."

About a year ago, Mahmoud's relatives, Hafez Sanallah (26) and Ahmad Sanallah (23), were killed after being shot dead at close range in Deir al-Assad in the north of the country.

Two children were also injured in the shooting incident, in a light and moderate condition.

A police investigation revealed that the shooting was carried out due to a conflict between criminals in the village.

According to the suspect, the shooter intended to hit only Hafez, but his relative Ahmad fell into the line of fire - and was also killed.
