Following a joint investigation by the Israel Police, the IDF and the GSS, the Cyber ​​Department of the State Attorney's Office filed indictments against Bagir and a minor in the case of possession, collection, delivery and publication of top-secret information.

The investigation began several weeks ago following publications on social media, as revealed by the GSS, from which suspicion arose of publishing top-secret news items.

The joint investigation was conducted in recent weeks by the Israel Police, Yahaval Lahav 433, the Central Unit for Special Investigations (IMM) of the Military Police Investigating and the General Security Service, accompanied by the IDF Information Security Department and other security officials.

The investigation investigated a number of people involved, soldiers and civilians, one of them a minor (on the verge of adulthood), on suspicion of security offenses, the essence of which is the publication of top-secret information.

On 24.5.2022, suspects in the commission of the offenses were arrested, and today three of them are being held in custody, two civilians (one an adult and the other a minor) and a soldier in compulsory service.

Two indictments were filed in the case today.

One indictment was filed in the Central District Court against the adult defendant, who served as a regular soldier and reservist in a unit in the Armed Forces.

A second indictment was filed in the district court against the minor defendant, in which it is attributed to him that he received confidential information from the adult defendant and another regular soldier, serving in the Armed Forces. Extensive and indefinite.This defendant was also prosecuted for multiple offenses of keeping confidential information and providing confidential information.

The case of the other regular soldier, who is suspected of providing confidential information to the minor defendant, is currently being handled by the military prosecution, and is also in custody.

Simultaneously with the filing of the indictments, a request was also submitted today for detention until the end of the proceedings against the two defendants.

As detailed in the indictments and arrest requests, a very serious and extensive security risk was caused as a result of the offenses committed by the defendants, as well as actual serious security damage.
