Al-Tha'la Charitable Society in the countryside of As-Suwayda Governorate has established a sewing workshop that provides in its first phase 12 job opportunities and supports charitable works in the town.
The Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, Jamal Al-Yasin, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the sewing workshop aims to employ a number of young women who need to work, thus supporting their families and alleviating their economic burdens, indicating that the creation of the workshop was carried out with the support of civil and expatriate activities as a complement to the projects of the charitable society, and it was equipped with supplies. Required from solar energy to secure electrical supply to ensure business continuity.
Al-Yassin explained that the workshop started producing clothes to secure them to the needy at cost, and its proceeds go back to support the poor and students, and it is an addition to the work of the association, which succeeded in allocating monthly financial aid to 63 needy families and 61 students, in addition to many charitable works that support it.
