Accident on the A6: truck gets into oncoming traffic - one dead, six injured

A truck broke through the central barrier on the A6 early Monday morning.
He went into oncoming traffic and collided with other vehicles.
Update from June 13, 3:36 p.m .:
A serious accident on Monday morning on the A6 caused numerous injuries (see initial report).
As the police have now announced, a 50-year-old man suffered such serious injuries that he died at the scene of the accident.
As a result of the accident, a traffic jam formed, the end of which a driver near Satteldorf on the Baden-Württemberg side apparently noticed too late.
According to initial findings by the police, about two hours after the original accident, he crashed unchecked into a trailer truck that was standing at the end of a traffic jam.
Rescue workers had to free the 24-year-old from the wreck, officials said.
A helicopter flew the seriously injured to a clinic.
The police closed the highway in both directions for the rescue work.
These dragged on into the afternoon.

Schnelldorf – In the early morning hours there was a serious accident near Schnelldorf (Ansbach district) on the A6.
A truck broke through the median barrier and got into oncoming traffic.
There he collided with an oncoming car.
A total of six people were seriously injured.
The highway had to be closed for a long period of time.

As the police write in a press release, the accident happened today (June 13) in the early hours of the morning.
On the A6 in the direction of Nuremberg near Schnelldorf, a truck left its lane for reasons that were initially unclear and crashed into the central barrier.
He broke through and ended up in the oncoming lane.
The truck then struck an oncoming car.
In the end, the truck crashed into an oncoming truck.
The rammed car skidded and hit the guardrail itself.
At the end of the chaos ride, six people were seriously injured.
Paramedics took her to nearby hospitals.
A helicopter was also used.
The freeway had to be closed in both directions.
“There are significant traffic delays.
We ask the drivers to drive around the scene of the accident," said the police spokesman.
The rescue will take several hours.
Investigators must now find out the exact cause of the accident.
