In Cuba, hundreds of participants in mass protests critical of the government last July were sentenced to long prison terms.
Most of the 381 judgments were "for crimes such as riot, sabotage, violent theft, assault, contempt (of authority) and public unrest," the attorney general's office said on Monday.
36 demonstrators received prison sentences of up to 25 years.
In July 2021, thousands of people demonstrated in about 50 Cuban cities.
They shouted »Freedom!« and »We are hungry!«.
They were reacting to Cuba's worst economic crisis in almost 30 years, which is still ongoing and is driving many of the country's residents to flee.
Almost 1,400 people were arrested during the protests.
In January, authorities said 790 charges had been filed.
The Cuban government accuses the US government of inciting the protests.
The USA, the EU and human rights organizations such as Amnesty International had sharply criticized the actions of the authorities.
