During the siege period, 82 households did not answer the door
The government sealed off King Man House, Ho Man Tin Estate, Kowloon City from 5:00 pm yesterday, and the mandatory testing operation has been completed at about 7:30 am so far.
Among them, 1,830 people in the "restricted area" were tested. Among them, 16 positive test cases were found. The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health will arrange follow-up.
In addition, the government also sent personnel to visit 717 households in the "restricted area", of which 82 households were not answered during the process, and the government will take measures to follow up.
The government reiterates that it will strictly enforce the law. If anyone fails to show the test result via SMS, or wear a wristband to prove that he or she is subject to a mandatory test, it is a violation of the mandatory test announcement, and will be subject to a fixed fine of $10,000, and will receive a mandatory test order requiring the person is tested within the specified period.
Failure to comply with a mandatory testing order or a restraining and testing declaration commits an offence and is punishable by a fine at level 5 ($50,000) and imprisonment for six months.
