They met again, but this time as plastic artists. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts, specifically from the Department of Painting and Oil Painting, they opened their first exhibition “Five” today at Art House Gallery in Damascus.

The five artists, whose exhibition continues until the 26th of this month, are Ayat Al-Zoubi, Tarab Issa, Reham Al-Tinawi, Shorouk Fleihan and Heba Rahwanji.

Their artistic production varied between realism and abstraction, and they gathered on expressive art to transfer their ideas to painting so that their exhibition would be in harmony with the place.

The plastic artist, Issa, in her interview with SANA, confirmed that choosing the gallery came for artistic reasons as a result of its consistency with the content of the paintings.. Regarding her five paintings, she indicated her use of the size 144-44, including in her content things from daily life, indicating her use of natural materials such as coal, ash and acrylic, while her use of color spots to move The painting is in the eye of the beholder.

As for the plastic artist, Tinawi, she explained that the paintings were completed at the time of graduation, and it took four months to complete, indicating that her paintings called “fish” aim to indicate the flow and harmony of life, like a fish flowing under water, using warm colors that serve the purpose of her paintings.

The plastic artist Al-Zoubi talked about her project called “The Daily Routine” as a topic that depicts the usual routine that we live in every home with its events firmly rooted in the memory of each of us, adding: Today I transfer my little memory to visual paintings filled with the cheerful and warm colors of life, especially green and violet.

Rhungi's formation referred to movement in its paintings, which carries a meaning in her heart that reminds her of her childhood when she was drawing successive pictures on her notebook using bright colors, which she considers her favourite.

The plastic artist, Fleihan, noted in her speech the collective participation that she gathered with her plastic friends who graduated in the same year, considering that it was the initiative of each of them to launch their individual exhibitions.

Regarding the large dimensions of her paintings, “rooms,” she stressed the necessity of using these dimensions that serve her in implementing her ideas, referring to the overwhelming blue color in her paintings, which symbolizes calm and peace.
