A 17-year-old boy from the south is suspected of blackmailing a young man with a mental disability, and persuaded him to harm himself - the police announced this morning (Monday).
In another case, according to the suspicion, he persuaded a 12-year-old boy to transfer the credit details of his parents to him, and tried to transfer tens of thousands of shekels to him.
The suspect, arrested about three weeks ago, introduced himself as someone who sells "Fortnight users" cheaply, and against this background the connection was made with his victims.
In one case, he fraudulently extracted the user details of an actor with a mental disability who contacted him - and allegedly blackmailed him when he demanded them back.
Thus, according to the suspicion, he persuaded the victim to injure himself with a knife, cut fingers and stab himself in the stomach, and even eat his needs.
It was also alleged that he called him "commit suicide", and threatened him that he would send people to harm him and that he would kill him.
In another case, it was alleged, the suspect persuaded a 12-year-old boy to transfer the details of his parents' bank account to him, spent NIS 2,000 and tried to transfer up to NIS 48,000 to his account.
The police also attribute to him the publication of degrading posts about two other minors.
