Iranian officials suspect that Israel has poisoned two Iranian scientists who recently died in the country, the New York Times reported Monday.

According to the publication, Iran believes that Israel is responsible for the deaths of the scientists, who died a few days apart at the end of May.

If these suspicions are confirmed, these are further assassinations attributed to Israel in its war against Iran.

The name of one of the scientists was Ayub Anthazari, who was a rocket scientist who worked in the field of aerospace at the factory of the "AIO" research and development institute in the city of Yazd, and engaged in short- and long-range missile development.

The other scientist's name was Kamran Agamulai, a geologist by profession who reportedly worked at the Natanz nuclear facility.

The two, it was reported, were young and healthy people, who died under unclear circumstances in late May.

After they became ill, their condition worsened, until they were finally evacuated to hospitals in two different cities, and died one after the other a few days apart.

According to a staff member of an Iranian official, Anthazari developed symptoms of food poisoning after attending a dinner to which Bized was invited.

The host of that meal disappeared after the incident, and authorities began searching for him.

In the case of Agamoulay, he began to show symptoms of illness when he returned to Tehran from a business trip in the city of Tabriz.

After his condition worsened, he collapsed and died a few days later.

The deaths of the two scientists are just some of the deaths of Iranians whose circumstances are unclear.

Yesterday, Iranian media reported that two Iranian air and space forces personnel were killed within a day in unnatural circumstances.

One of them, Ali Kamani, served in the Air and Space Forces of the Revolutionary Guards, and was said to have been killed in an accident.

It was later reported that Muhammad Abdul, a man at the Samanan Space Center, was killed "while on duty".
