After a nerve-wracking day, the body of Sapir Nahum, a 25-year-old resident of Acre, a mother of two, whose traces disappeared on Thursday about a week and a half ago, was identified and verified.

Nahum left her home in the city last Thursday, sent her daughter to kindergarten, and then her traces disappeared.
On the evening of that day, the family notified the police of the absence.
"We're afraid something happened to her, someone sure left her," her sister Eden said.

The detention of the father of her children, Walla Khalaila and his brother, Alaa Khalaila, suspected of kidnapping and murdering Nahum, was extended today.

Khalaila, known to the police and has a criminal record.
Last January, he was suspected of growing cannabis in a laboratory.

Judge Farha Jubran Miller explained the decision to extend the detention: "The reasonable suspicion against the suspect has strengthened significantly since the detention extension (previous; MM) and the investigating unit should be allowed to complete the actions listed in the confidential report without hindrance ... Naturally, There are grounds for detention, both of dangerousness, due to the nature of the offenses and of the fear of disrupting investigative proceedings, and therefore an extension of the suspect's detention must be ordered. As you may recall, last night (Sunday) the search forces located the body of a woman in a cell that was marked and scanned.
Nahum's family members were updated and in the process, forensic officers arrived at the family home to take a DNA sample.
At night, the security and medical teams arrived at the field cell and transferred the body to Abu Kabir, in order to undergo a process of identification.
