After the Erlangen Bergkirchweih, two drunk men make their way home on the A73.

A truck was only able to avoid it at the last second.

Erlangen – For those who do not come from the region around Nuremberg, the Frankenschnellweg may sound like a leisurely bike path from Fürth to Erlangen, but it actually means the A73.

So a genuine Autobahn.

Therefore, under no circumstances should you walk on the Frankenschnellweg.

However, two men saw things differently this weekend.

In both cases, it must be mentioned, alcohol was involved.

To be more precise, the two men had previously been to the Erlangen Bergkirchweih.

The first misguided person went home on Saturday, June 11 at around 8 p.m.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the emergency call was received by the traffic police in Erlangen, according to their press release.

At the level of the Erlangen-Nord junction, a person should stand on the central barrier.

When officers arrived, they found the heavily intoxicated man there.

Luckily nothing had happened to him in the meantime.

He was subsequently confiscated.

A day later, on Monday night, around 2:15 a.m., the next drunk got lost on the Frankenschnellweg.

The police were informed that a person should walk along the central barrier at the level of the Erlangen-Center junction.

The 37-year-old was heading towards Nuremberg.

Even before the police arrived, he crossed the road in the direction of the hard shoulder.

A truck driver had the presence of mind and swerved in time.

No one was injured here either.

An alcohol test was then carried out on the drunk visitor to the fair.

This resulted in 2.5 per thousand.

The regular police from Erlangen also had to deal with unreasonable drunks on Sunday.

A 20-year-old fell on his bike on the way to the Bergkirchweih through no fault of his own.

The police write in their press release that the man had probably already "preheated well".

He was injured and taken to a hospital.

A blood alcohol test showed 1.98 per thousand.
