The texts of the literary festival organized by the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Arab Writers Union at the cultural station in Jaramana varied between poetry, prose and story, which came in the style of activation and the two parts carried in their meanings the love of Syria, civilization and history.
The poet Riyad Tabra delivered a poetic text in the style of the two halves, in which he talked about the qualities and virtues of the Mujahid Sultan Pasha al-Atrash and the sacrifices he made in resisting the occupation, using simple sea, rhyme and narration suitable for meanings and musical movement, in addition to other human and emotional poetic texts.
The writer Suhail El-Deeb also delivered a short story entitled “An Hour of Love Only” that came in the style of diverse and artistic coherent story clips to express social implications, realistic situations and love that leads to sacrifice and interest in women’s work in an interesting, expressive and innovative manner.
In her prose texts, the writer Hayat Nasr presented literary passages that varied in their contents and meanings, expressing the feelings of women in the vision of society, in addition to social and humanitarian situations in a prose style that varied between thought and poetry.
The Lebanese poet Muhammad Al-Bandar expressed his great love for Syria and Damascus and its eternal relationship with Lebanon, in the style of the two halves and its various seas and images that came in an artistic and emotional style.
Poet Zina Jaradi from Lebanon read various poetic passages filled with love for the Levant, presenting human visions and dreaming of a better future in the style of prose and flash.
Critical insights and impressions presented by critic Dr. Ghassan Ghoneim, head of the Damascus branch of the Arab Writers Union, in which he described the participating texts as distinguished, based on evidence he had picked up during reading.
