Are you planning a summer holiday in Italy?

You can find out here whether and which corona rules apply to entry, stay and return.

Rome – The summer months are just around the corner and for many, the first real summer vacation since the beginning of the Corona pandemic is imminent.

In many popular holiday destinations, the Corona rules are largely abolished in time for the summer months.

This makes traveling — by plane, train or car — less complicated and, above all, very popular.

A popular travel destination for many Germans is Italy — are there still corona regulations to be observed here?

Holidays in Italy: Do Corona rules still apply to entry?

Anyone who wants to go on vacation to Italy does not have to observe any additional corona rules when entering the country.

The obligation to present proof of vaccination, the status of recovery or a negative test expired on June 1st

.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this at the end of May.

Also in the hotel or in the gastronomy no proof has to be provided.

An entry form, which had to be filled out in some cases, is no longer required.

It is still mandatory to wear an FFP2 mask on planes, trains and other means of transport.

A minimum distance of one meter is still required.
