New survey reveals disturbing data: 62% of men will not be affected by the fact that there are wage gaps between them and women in the workplace • "It will take time until we see a change"

37% of women feel that there are wage gaps between women and men, compared to 19% of men who think so - according to a new AllJobs survey, which examined workers' feelings about wages in their workplace.

The test was carried out in light of the entry into force in 1.6 of a new law, which requires employers to reveal whether there are wage gaps between men and women and to update employees personally.

The survey also reveals that 62% of men indicated that if they find that there are wage gaps in their workplace - it will not affect them, compared to 22% of women.

Also, 26% of women indicated that it would make them consider continuing to stay in the workplace, compared to 15% of men.

23% of women indicated that they would require a conversation with the manager about pay, compared to 5% of men, and 18% of women and 10% of men indicated that it would lead to a decrease in their motivation in the workplace.

An interesting statistic in the survey shows that 8% of women think they earn a fair wage even if others earn more, compared to 17% of men.

55% of respondents indicated that they earn according to the average in their field.

This is 58% women and 51% men.

6% of women think they earn above average, compared to 13% of men.

36% of men and women think they earn below average.

According to Liat Ben-Torah Shoshan, Director of the Career Management Department at AllJobs, "The pay gap between men and women is a global phenomenon, reflecting the inequality in the gender division of labor in the home and labor market."

There is much more to fix

Ben-Torah Shoshan adds: "It is precisely during the career-building period, between the ages of 25-45, that women give birth and raise their children, which often leads to a halt in professional progress and a reduction in the scope of work, in order to be the 'main parent' in the family unit. "They also perpetuate social construction. As long as there is a perception that women are the secondary breadwinner, it will take time for change."

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
