On the melodies of guitar strings, oriental music mixed with Latin in a musical evening by the musician Suleiman Shalaby, entitled “Vision” in which he presented a group of

Latin and Spanish operas on the drama stage at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The evening program began with a salt playing by Shalaby, where he released this song for the first time on the stage of the Opera House with his concert entitled “Araby Modern”, which is inspired by the flamenco template with a mixture of Arabic divisions, after which he performs the Andalusian muwashshah “when it seemed to be folded” on the “polirias” template. It is from the Spanish heritage on the eastern Nahawand shrine.

Shalaby also performed a combination of Latin and Spanish pieces by Georges Bizet and the famous piece Carmen, which added violinist Dima Khair Bey, in conjunction with cellist Imad Morsi, a special charm to the evening by performing the instrumental with a great technique, in addition to pieces of flamingo that had a special impact on the listeners.

The Spanish heritage had a share in the Shalabi program, through a tango-style piece, and the artist Ammar Ali presented a piece accompanied by the flute entitled Hanin, with which the audience interacted greatly.

Also participating in the evening were the musicians Muhammad Omran on the drums, Mahmoud Kanafani on the break, Maher Shrouf on bass, and Samah Abu Ras on the violin.

It is noteworthy that the musician Suleiman Al-Shalabi graduated from the Higher Institute of Music in 2016 and was tutored by musicians Basil Khalil, Tariq Salhia and Mazen Al-Saleh.
