With the aim of linking higher education outputs with professional life and providing scientific cadres with the outcome of the work rallies of eminent personalities in all fields, Damascus University hosted today a dialogue meeting that brought together the Lebanese journalist and former Minister George Kordahi with students, professors and media professionals in an interactive session entitled (The reality of the media and the role of the media in changing it). The interactive dialogue, which was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Dr. Baria Shukair, indicated that it aims to translate academic achievement and scientific research and actually apply it on the ground, thus contributing to enhancing students' capabilities and providing them with tools that enable them to enrich their careers.
In answering the students’ and professors’ questions, whether with regard to professional affairs in general or his media career, the Qadeer Qardahi spoke about the criteria for a successful media person and how to balance between the media’s point of view and the media outlet to which he belongs, in addition to providing advice to students from a summary of his professional experience to be able to Engaging in the labor market and mastering their tools. He also talked about the difficulties that the media may encounter in their field of work.
At the end of the dialogue meeting, George Qardahi was presented with a shield of honor in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, President of Damascus University, Dr. Khaled Al-Halbouni, Secretary of the Damascus University branch of the party, members of the branch leadership, deputies of the university president, deans of faculties, professors at Damascus University, and a large student presence.
It is noteworthy that George Kordahi, a Lebanese journalist and politician, studied political science and law to follow his passion for media work, which he practiced during his university studies and obtained many certificates in applied courses. He presented dozens of television programs loved by millions of audiences and won many awards and titles. High media work message.
