The Ports and Navigation Organization of Iran announced that Greece has released the Iranian ship it had seized weeks ago under US directives.
The organization said in a statement today: “After the immediate and able action of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the follow-up of the relevant institutions, and despite the US judicial ruling to seize the Iranian oil tanker and seize its cargo in favor of the Americans, a ruling was issued to return the cargo to its owners, and the Greek government issued orders to do so, and now we are witnessing an end to the detention of the tanker.”
Greece had detained the Iranian tanker on its coasts, in coordination with the Americans, after the tanker resorted to the Greek coasts to preserve its safety and the security of its crew.
