A prison guard from the Fresnes remand center (Val-de-Marne) will be tried on Wednesday June 15 by the Créteil criminal court for drug trafficking and money laundering, said the prosecution of this jurisdiction, contacted by AFP.

Aged in his twenties and originally from Guyana, this supervisor in Fresnes since 2019 was arrested on Friday in the prison of Fresnes, south of Paris, then placed under judicial control.
He will be judged in immediate appearance.
In the same case, his sister was also arrested on Friday when she was trying to reach Guyana with "
200 grams
" of cannabis resin and "
about 11,500 euros
", added the prosecution.
She is suspected of being a "
mule
", those travelers who carry drugs hidden in their luggage, on them or ingested in the form of "
capsules
" or "
balls
", according to a source familiar with the matter.
Placed in pre-trial detention, she will also be tried on Wednesday in the Créteil court for drug trafficking and laundering of the proceeds of drug trafficking.
