The Russian Embassy in London has called for the UK government to be held responsible for supplying arms to Ukraine that the Kyiv authorities use to attack civilian targets in Donbass.
"We have repeatedly called on the British government to be vigilant and comply with its export control standards when supplying arms to Ukraine, and these calls have been ignored," TASS news agency quoted the embassy as saying in a statement issued today. By the armed forces of Ukraine 155 mm guns supplied by NATO countries.
The embassy statement pointed out that such attacks against the civilian population can only be achieved with the consent of the West and after the arms are delivered to Ukraine, where the United Kingdom, according to its own statements, plays a leading role.
The statement stressed that the time had come for the United Kingdom to take full responsibility for its short-sighted policy.
It is noteworthy that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced last April that Britain would send high-quality military equipment worth 100 million pounds to Ukraine, including more "Star Streak" anti-aircraft missiles that fly at three times the speed of sound and 800 other anti-tank missiles.
