The Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported today (Tuesday) from an Israeli source that "the IDF has repeatedly destroyed convoys of trucks carrying Iranian weapons to Lebanese Hezbollah during their passage through Iraq on their way to Lebanon."
The source, who relied on foreign and reliable information, stated that "Israel has been monitoring the transfer of weapons to Hezbollah for years."
The source added that "initially, the shipments of ammunition and ammunition were destroyed by various means after reaching warehouses (belonging to Hezbollah) in Lebanon or Syria. However, the IDF leadership decided that there was no need to wait until the weapons reached their destination - but to destroy it beforehand.
So it was decided to follow the convoys until they reach a place that can be hit with a minimum of weapons for the civilians. "
The report quoted security sources in Israel as saying: "Iran has reduced the transfer of weapons by land to a minimum. It has turned to transferring the weapons in military planes and recently in shipments at sea."
"Estimates have also been cited that recent attacks have reduced about 70 percent of Iranian arms shipments to Syria and Lebanon."
During the night, Arab media outlets affiliated with the Syrian opposition reported a violent explosion that shook the city of Buchmal in eastern Syria.
The city is considered a stronghold of the pro-Iranian militias.
Hence, some reports claim that Iranian targets were attacked.
The Assad regime's media did not comment on the attack.
