Their story made the rounds in the media and social networks.
Élodie and Laurent, a couple living in Gentilly (Val-de-Marne), had bought a squatted house on May 19 in the town of Ollainville, in Essonne.
After the intervention of Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin, the Essonne prefecture ordered the eviction of the occupying family, who finally left the premises on June 10.
This Tuesday, RTL reveals that the couple has been indicted since October 22, 2021 for "drug trafficking, illicit possession of category B and C weapons and participation in a criminal association with a view to preparing an offense" .
They are also
placed under judicial control.
Information confirmed to Le Parisien on Tuesday by the Créteil prosecutor's office.
The image of the couple tarnished
This revelation darkens the image of this couple, suspected of having concealed the information that they knew that the property was occupied by a family at the time of purchase.
When we revealed their story on Wednesday, June 8, we specified that the notarial deed mentioned an occupation without right or title.
Clearly, the house in Ollainville was squatted.
This was confirmed to us the next day by the notary who recorded the sale and the Superior Council of Notaries.
The couple has always said on his side that he did not know the extent of the squat.
“When we visited the house, we thought that a person had been able to sleep there, because there was a mattress, but we did not imagine that a family had settled in”, then pleaded Laurent.
On the night of Thursday June 10 to Friday June 11, the occupying couple and their children aged 4 to 16 were taken to task when leaving the pavilion.
A group of hooded and masked people had emerged and used tear gas on the family, physically attacking them.
A complaint has been filed for these facts.
