Culture is the fortress of peoples in order to preserve their identity and existence, and the Arabic language is an essential carrier for it, and the media has a major role in consecrating it.

The Director of Electronic Media in the Ministry of Information, Munther Ali Ahmed, indicated that the influence of the media, its role and its ability to confront cultural invasion and normalization differed according to the stages it passed through, explaining that globalization and Westernization are practiced by the West with the most sophisticated methods and the latest technologies to control peoples, hence the importance of immunizing the Arab personality, protecting it and enhancing its role And strengthening it to counter cultural invasion and normalization.

The head of the media branch in the political administration, Ghaleb Jazieh, indicated that what is meant by the cultural invasion is the work aimed at penetrating and destabilizing the nation’s culture as an entrance to dissolving its identity, sabotaging it, obliterating it, and robbing its components and basic elements that protect and preserve its identity with the aim of replacing it with a specific culture to achieve hostile goals, stressing the need for the Arab intellectual to be The soldier of battle, the guardian of his culture, and the protector of the Arab mind from the methods of American Zionist usurpation.

The journalist Basil Nayouf said that facing cultural invasion always needs scientific research and in-depth studies to know those affected by it negatively and positively, which works by various means aimed at surveying the Arab personality and serving the Zionist entity, indicating the duty of the educated to support national culture and strengthen belonging in the face of intellectual invasion.

The poet and journalist Muhammad Khaled al-Khidr, who worked on managing the symposium, called for raising awareness and knowing all the conspiracies the enemy is aiming at, while the Secretary of the Palestinian Writers Union, researcher Rafea al-Saadi, pointed out in his intervention the necessity of naming some important sites and streets with the names of the righteous martyrs, and caution against extraneous names that seek to obliterate our identity.

Journalist and writer Imad Nadaf drew attention to the diversity of topics that came in the symposium that must be adopted and the need to deal seriously in the face of the means of cultural invasion, while the media person, Arwa Al-Shamali, indicated the importance of relying on cultural references that carry confrontation capabilities with the practical information they possess, while the cultural director of Abu Rummaneh Rabab recommended Ahmed to support and spread awareness that would contribute to an effective role in the protection of national culture.
