April 2022:

Petro says in a campaign closing ceremony in Barranquilla that "they plan to hit the elections" on May 29, by suspending the bodies that govern the electoral process in Colombia.

The candidate did not elaborate on his complaint or who would make the decision.

President Iván Duque said a day later that the presidential elections will not be suspended and denied that a coup was going to take place.
