The raid hit a "
municipal council building in Snuny
", a village near the Syrian border, said a security source in the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan (north).

A 12-year-old child was killed and six other people were injured
," said the official on condition of anonymity.
Another security source spoke of "
two dead
", assuring that the victims were both civilians.
According to this person, the raid hit a base of Ezidikhan, a Yazidi minority protection force close to the PKK.
The two sources interviewed by AFP claimed that the operation was carried out by the Turkish air force.

The Sinjar region is the historic home of the Yazidi minority, a Kurdish-speaking community persecuted for centuries, in particular by the jihadists of the Islamic State group.
