After the massive abstention observed in the first round of the legislative elections, a chestnut tree returns, the question of the introduction of a "dose of proportional representation" in our electoral system, to compensate for the manifest imbalance born of the current voting system, majority uninominal to two rounds.
It is true that once again the comparison between the electoral results of the first round of the presidential election and those of the legislative elections will not fail to raise questions: the current projections give a very modest number of seats to a party which won 23, 1% of the votes in the first round of the presidential election, allowing its candidate to be present in the second round, and many more seats to a party whose candidate obtained 4.7% of the votes cast.
