Today, the city of Hebron in the West Bank witnessed a stand in support of the Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike in the Israeli occupation prisons.

Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil, organized by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission, the Palestinian Prisoners Club, and the families of prisoners, with the support of official and civil institutions, raised pictures of the hunger strikers, the elderly, children and those who spent decades in detention, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and stop the racist policy of occupation.

In a speech to the families of the prisoners, Hani Awawdeh indicated that the prisoner Khalil Awawdeh has exceeded his 105th day of hunger strike, and he has spent 12 years in the occupation’s prisons, amid the exacerbation of the danger to his life and his continuous suffering, while the prisoner Raed Rayan continues his hunger strike for the 70th day in a row, although he He can only walk in a wheelchair and continues to refuse to receive any kind of support.

The mayor of Hebron, Tayseer Abu Sneina, called for unifying efforts to support the prisoners, especially since dozens of prisoners spent more than 20 years in the occupation's prisons.

The director of the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission, Ibrahim Najajeh, also held the international community responsible for the lives of the hunger strikers in light of the deteriorating health condition, calling for pressure on the occupation authorities to release the hunger strikers and the sick.

The Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Authority warned today of the deteriorating health condition of 18 sick prisoners who are being held by the Israeli occupation in Ramleh detention camp, amid difficult health conditions and a lack of the minimum necessary medical ingredients.
