Landsberg – Everything has to be ready before the start of the women's race of the cycling European Championships in mid-August: Hinteranger will be covered with asphalt and will therefore be completely closed from June 27th.
Expected to be July 29th, maybe August 5th.
The full closure affects the area between Schulgasse and Sandauer Tor, with the sidewalks still usable, the city announced.
The one-way street regulation of Schulgasse and Vorderer Angers will be reversed for the duration of the construction period, so all south-north traffic will use these two streets.
A trip in the north-south direction, as is currently the case, is not possible.
As reported in the KREISBOTEN, the roadway is to be given an asphalt surface layer, the parking areas on the edge will retain their paving.
A protective lane for cyclists will also be marked on the road to increase safety.
