Hospital conflict prevents cancer patients: "Complete abandonment of our lives"

The nurses at the Oncology Institute at Wolfson Hospital in Holon did not come to work today (Wednesday).
Oncology patients at the hospital said the institute was not staffed and that they were not receiving treatment.
"This is a scandal and a complete abandonment of our lives," said patients treated at the place.
According to them, the management of the institute and the medical staff have a series of disagreements.
"The severe reductions in the institute's staff and the closure of the oncology ward are hurting our care and endangering our lives," the patients said.
"This morning is a new record. The nurses have abandoned us."
The hospital said that there was indeed an internal crisis at the institute and that serious allegations had been made about the director, Dr. Brenner.
"The hospital management must not be allowed to impair its ability to continue treating us," the patients added. "Please stop the madness and allow us to continue the treatment with the doctor who saves our lives."

However, the hospital said that in recent months a series of serious complaints had been received by the oncology institute's nurses as part of which they had reported abuse and violence by Dr. Ronen Brenner.
