Police investigating the disappearance of British journalist Dom Phillips and Brazilian expert Bruno Pereira in the Amazon brought one of the two arrested suspects to the search site on Wednesday, June 15, according to several Brazilian media.

Footage from TV Globo, the country's largest channel, shows a man with his face concealed by a hood exiting a police station and entering a police boat, in Atalaia do Norte (Northwest), near the border Brazilian with Peru and Colombia.
The boat then sets off on the river where Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira were last seen on January 5, when they were supposed to return to Atalaia do Norte.
The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) declined to comment on these images.
Region deemed dangerous
A first suspect, Amarildo da Costa de Oliveira, a fisherman nicknamed "
Pelado
", was arrested on June 7.
On Tuesday, a second suspect was arrested.
Oseney da Costa de Oliveira, known as "
Dos Santos
", is "
suspected of participation in the affair
", announced the PF in a press release.
Witnesses say they saw "
Pelado
" pass at high speed aboard a boat going in the same direction as the boat of Dom Phillips and Bruno Pereira, before their disappearance.

Contributor to The Guardian newspaper, Dom Phillips, 57, was preparing a book on the preservation of the environment in the Amazon.
Bruno Pereira, 41, an expert with the Brazilian government agency for indigenous affairs (Funai), served as his guide in the reputedly dangerous region of the Javari Valley, a strategic axis for drug traffickers and a favorite ground for gold miners, illegal fishermen or loggers.
