Two migrants, including a child, were hospitalized with respiratory problems on Wednesday after a fire at a migrant camp near Athens, authorities and media said.

The fire at Eleonas camp, near central Athens, home to more than 1,100 people, including many families with young children, broke out early Wednesday June 15 and was largely contained by mid- daytime.

Two people were hospitalized with respiratory problems, according to a source from the Ministry of Migration.

State television ERT said one of them was a 12-year-old child.
