The Association for Competitive Gaming announced this week that the Israeli team on the counter-strike has qualified for the European Championships to be held in Oradea, Romania this coming July.
This is the second country to host the European Championship in competitive gaming this year after Baku in Azerbaijan hosted the championship last month in the title Tekken 7, where he represented the mighty Israel "Mr_Expendible" Amiel and won fifth place.

The road to immigration
The Israeli CSGO team went on a long journey on the way to qualifying for the European Championships.
The team was drawn to participate in Group E of the European Qualifiers held online on 7 June.
In the matches, which were broadcast on the Twitch channel of the European Federation, the Israeli team lost to the German and Ukrainian teams, but it managed to beat the Kosovo team and thus reach the third place at home.
In the complementary matches between the third place teams in all the competition houses, the team managed to win all five games against the teams of France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Azerbaijan and Georgia, thus securing the last and final free place for the final event of the championship in Romania.
Final in Ordea, Romania
All the spotlight will be on the Israeli team in Ordea, Romania, which will host the European Counter-Strike Championship between July 5 and 10.
The event will take place as part of the Digital Crusade e-sports festival and hosted by the local municipality at the Sala Polivalenta sports stadium in Oradea.
The competition will be Israel's opportunity to shine on the European stage, with the winning team participating in the IESF World Championships in Indonesia, and
winning the largest share of the competition's prize pool of 25,000 euros.
Despite not an easy start to the competition, we are proud of our guys who defeated very strong teams like France and the Netherlands to win the last slot in Romania.

The future of Counter Strike in Israel
The competitive gaming community in Israel has made leaps and bounds in recent years, and as a result many players are beginning to burst into consciousness as industry leaders in the country as well as in international competitions.
