A delegation from Rostov Province in the Russian Federation, headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Atmansyev Andrei Anatolyevich, discussed with the Governor of Lattakia, Eng. Amer Ismail Hilal, the possibilities of joint cooperation and ways to enhance it.
The talks focused on the broad lines of achieving a joint cooperation agreement between the two governorates, which includes economic, commercial, cultural, social, technical and scientific aspects.
The head of the Russian delegation said in a statement to reporters that the talks represented a step on the right path towards reaching a final agreement between the two sides in the fields of energy, economy, trade, agriculture, culture and other common fields.
For his part, Hilal stressed that the talks dealt with the proposed cooperation agreement between the two sides and the possible areas to advance these relations by taking advantage of the elements available in them, indicating that the agreement will be a pillar for promoting trade, cultural and scientific exchange between Latakia and the Rostov region and is in the interest of the Syrian and Russian friendly peoples, praising the Russian Federation’s support for Syria. in its war on terror.
The talks were attended by the head of the provincial council, Eng. Tayseer Habib, the deputy head of the executive office, Firas Al-Sousi, the governorate’s Secretary-General, Rifaat Muhammad, the head of the Lattakia City Council, Eng. Hussein Zingerli, and the director of technical affairs, Dr. Dalia Al-Mahrez, and the decision support and regional planning department in the governorate’s general secretariat, Eng. Raif Al-Sayegh.
A delegation from Nizhny Novgorod Province in Rostov Region headed by Deputy Governor Pannikov Pyotr Vitalievich and a delegation from Lattakia Province headed by the head of the provincial council, Eng. Taysir Habib, held a meeting that discussed possible areas of cooperation in the search for promising investment opportunities.
Discussions between the two sides dealt with the fields of agricultural exchange, including citrus and oils, and cooperation in the fields of education, culture and technology, in addition to exchanging trade delegations from businessmen and investors between the two sides to enhance areas of cooperation.
