Microsleep: VW driver comes off the B472

Microsleep was probably the cause of an accident on Monday in Bad Heilbrunn.
A woman drove her car off the B472.
Bad Heilbrunn – At around 3:15 p.m., a 75-year-old woman from Kaufbeuren drove her VW Passat on federal highway 472 from Bichl in the direction of Bad Tölz.
Shortly after the junction to the Untersteinbach district, the VW driver left the road to the right and crashed the car into the guardrail.

Car hurls to the other side of the street
The car was then thrown to the other side of the street and came to a stop in the meadow there.
Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic at the time, so the accident was relatively minor.
Accident vehicle must be towed
According to the police, damage to the car and the crash barrier amounted to 5,000 euros each.
The car had to be towed.
According to their own statements, the cause of the accident was microsleep.
