The Syrian Commercial Bank confirmed that it achieved net profits of more than 9.3 billion Syrian pounds until the end of the first quarter of this year, while the volume of deposits with the bank amounted to about seven thousand billion Syrian pounds.
In a statement received by SANA, the bank stated that in the first quarter of this year, it recorded about 200 billion pounds, an increase of about 250 percent compared to the private sector's loans until the end of the same period last year, which amounted to about 57 billion pounds.
The bank indicated that it achieved profits estimated at 43 billion Syrian pounds, before deducting tax, as a result of the activities of the last fiscal year.
