265 local, Arab and foreign companies display, within 150 pavilions, their products of building and construction materials, air-conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment, solar energy devices, water and environmental technologies, stone, marble, paint, insulation materials, security and safety systems, lighting and others.

Engineer Ammar Haidar, director of the General Company for Roads and Bridges branch in Damascus, said in a statement to SANA: We participate in the exhibition by displaying the company’s products and the works it implements, as well as its capabilities as a leading company in the public sector that owns a large group of mechanisms, production centers, laboratories, and distinguished equipment such as the pull-out crane that installs Pre-fabricated post-tensioned beams for large bridges up to 42 metres.

Haidar indicated that the company is currently a pioneer in the issue of towers that it is implementing in cooperation with the Public Housing Corporation, as well as manufacturing phrases and prizes, indicating that all of this is being expressed in the exhibition, as the company produces for the public and private sectors.

Dr. Ali Samha, General Manager of a Real Estate Development and Investment Company, pointed out that the exhibition provides the opportunity to open the door for communication, re-activate partnerships between various government and private institutions, and conclude new partnerships and agreements, and meetings to learn about the latest developments in the field of construction, indicating that the company displays in its pavilion a maquette for two projects, namely the Medical City project and the project The model suburb is in addition to another project for which the cornerstone has been laid on the Homs-Tartous axis, as well as another project under preparation for its opening on the Homs-Damascus axis.

In the field of higher education, many students and graduates of engineering colleges in public and private universities presented engineering projects and equipment related to the construction sector within the exhibition. Marota City” and noted the importance of the exhibition in terms of contributing to the definition of outstanding student projects, presenting them to companies and linking them to the labor market.

From the Arab International University, the engineer Nadera Al-Jabi and her colleague, the engineer, Dina Ibrahim from the Faculty of Architecture, presented a project that includes a planning and design study for a commercial and recreational crafts complex entitled “Darmeshqu,” indicating that its site constitutes a gateway to the city of Damascus, where it was studied as a commercial and recreational crafts complex that integrates handicrafts with “Supply and Demand” and secures an industrial area for crafts characterized by comfortable and appropriate architecture through human and environmental interactive spaces.

Engineer Karim Dada'a from the Engineering Company for Cladding and Decoration indicated that this is the company's fifth participation in the exhibition in the category of waterproofing, building chemicals and facade decorations with international specifications, indicating that the exhibition provides an opportunity to familiarize citizens with the company's products and activate the role of the private sector in the reconstruction and construction phase that the country is currently going through. In addition, it constitutes an opportunity for convergence between companies and to learn about everything new in the world of construction.

The exhibition activities will continue until the 18th of this month, with free transportation for visitors via buses that depart from the President Bridge and Bab Touma Square around the clock throughout the days of the exhibition.
