The Military and Civil Administration of Kherson region announced today the resumption of work in the commercial port of the region, in order to transport various goods and products.
The administration said in a statement carried by Sputnik Agency: “The Kherson commercial port has resumed work and is preparing to transport goods, infrastructure is being restored, repairs are being made and preparations are underway to resume work at full capacity,” adding: “A new administration has been appointed for the port.”
In a related context, the Lugansk Independent People's Republic announced sending the first batch of grain to Russia, amounting to about 650 tons, via the railways linking the two countries.
In a statement to an official in the Lugansk authorities: “The Lugansk government and the leadership of the National Front faced a serious task of organizing the export and sale of grain outside the territory of the republic and succeeded in collecting a large amount of grain.”
The deputy head of the military and civil administration of the Kherson region Kirill Strimosov announced last Friday that in the future the border between the Kherson region and the Crimea will be removed, which will also help with the export of grain.
