The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that the Kyiv authorities are obstructing the evacuation of civilians from the Azot plant in the cities of Sever and Donetsk and are taking advantage of the humanitarian truce to regroup.
Russia Today website quoted Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Monitoring Center, as saying that the Kyiv authorities are disrupting the humanitarian operation and exploiting safe corridors, despite the unprecedented measures taken by Russia to evacuate civilians from the territory of the “Azot” chemical plant by opening a humanitarian corridor from Severodonetsk to the city of Svatovo in Lugansk People's Republic.
Mizintsev pointed out that the Ukrainian formations took advantage of the humanitarian pause to regroup and restore combat capability, noting that the Kyiv authorities did not give their units in Severodonetsk an order to stop military operations, as many violations of the ceasefire regime were recorded from the industrial zone of the nitrogen plant and indiscriminate shooting targeting neighborhoods Residential in Severodonetsk.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the opening of a humanitarian corridor for civilians to leave the Azot plant in Severodonetsk and Belogansk.
