Teacher sanctions reach Tel Aviv and the Sharon, and parents in favor: "Feel the deterioration in their status"
As part of the sanctions imposed by the Teachers' Union, classes will begin this morning in the Tel Aviv and Sharon area in elementary schools, divisions and kindergartens at 10:00.
In the eyes of the parents, the struggle is justified: "The treatment of them affects the children, this is our future generation. Education should be the most budgeted and it is at the bottom of the list."

Studies in the Tel Aviv District and in some of the Sharon localities will begin this morning (Thursday) at 10:00 in the morning, as part of the sanctions imposed by the Teachers' Union.
According to the Histadrut, the sanctions will include kindergartens, elementary schools and middle schools in the district, as has happened so far in the center, north, south and Jerusalem area.
Parents of children who will be forced to take their children to school late tomorrow, actually support sanctions, out of sympathy with the teachers and their status.
Siegel, a mother of a fifth grader, is one of them.
"From my experience as a parent with children in the education system, I feel the deterioration in the situation and status of teachers, and the deterioration in the level of education," she says.
"I totally think it's a lack of reward and respect. I see the gap when I was a student for today and today and I'm shocked by the deterioration. I think we need to look at it at our future level, see ahead and what we want to happen here. A two hour strike is not even enough for the government to wake up It's a cry for generations. "

According to her, the resources their son receives in elementary school are insufficient.
"We feel we are a babysitter, and need to have private tutors because of this situation. I have a private tutor so that the child is in a normal, not gifted or anything. I hear and see that the teachers' condition is really deteriorating, the attitude towards them is shocking. "Today it has no weight. The attitude of the state and the parents permeates the students and something needs to be shaken because this is the future of the state. Education should be the most budgeted and that is at the bottom of the list."

Efrat, the mother of a 10-year-old boy attending an elementary school, and a 14-year-old boy attending middle school, is also in favor of the teachers' struggle.
"I think their salary is shameful and they deserve more, especially given the fact that they are not finishing the school day and it's over. They do much beyond, investing from their private hours and it has no appreciation and I think they should be rewarded more because it affects children and future generation."
However, she expresses displeasure that her children will be starting school day late tomorrow.
"It's not easy to get it after two years of corona ending life. And it's a conflict, we are in favor because wages do not match the work. But the way we fight it - the government is not harmed, the parents are harmed. Disabling the education system it mainly hurts parents and it does not hurt who "We have to put our hand in our pocket. It doesn't get there, it hurts us."
