A new trend is stirring the web (literally) and promises to be the healthy replacement for its voice: Is it really a noisy discovery or a storm in a glass for no reason?
The second option is likely, but life is full of surprises.
Much has been said and written about how much a favorite cola drink is considered unhealthy, in part due to the sheer amount of sugar it contains.
A new-old ticking trend that began to gain renewed momentum last week (after hitting waves for the first time as early as 2016), offers surfers an alternative that should be a healthy substitute for the drink and contains two ingredients: balsamic vinegar and soda (or other flavored water / drinks).

Who was the catalyst for the takeover of the trend on social media is a tic-tac-toe named Amanda (Mandy) Jones, who uploaded to her account, which has about 48,000 followers, a video of her making the drink while she tells her followers that her inspiration is her Pilates teacher, who prepares The drink almost daily.
"It looks just like her voice and it's so delicious and healthy," she enthused in a video that garnered more than 6 million views and tens of thousands of comments and shares.
If that's not enough, the hashtags healthy coke and healthy coke challenge have already garnered more than 34 million mentions in Tiktok alone.

Opinions about the taste of the drink in general and about the trend in particular are divided, but it is clear that many saw the "noisy discovery" as an unsuccessful joke or complete nonsense, and flooded the network with reactions to ridicule.
"I'm really ashamed of myself for trying this trend, it's repulsive and shocking," tweeted a surfer who was very unconcerned with the drink.
"People have lost their sanity and are mixing vinegar with soda claiming it has the same taste as cola, go get help," shouted another tweet.
"Why call it a healthy drink? Say you want to drink vinegar and that's it," suggested another surfer.
"It's like drinking a balsamic sauce from a salad, the world is completely freaked out," a despairing tweet concluded.
And if for a moment anyone had any doubt that there was no chance that this was a healthy alternative worth consuming, this is what a senior dietitian had to say on the subject.
"Drinking vinegar this way is a very bad idea," she warned.
"If you are already drinking it, be sure to dilute it well and brush your teeth thoroughly afterwards because of the danger of your teeth grinding."
